A walk to remember

Haji Lane.

An exclusive shopping lane stocked with chi chi apparel and what-hafs-you.

But I am more interested in capturing the surroundings of the graffiti walls and retro-ish facades.

Interesting sights noted include hey-mr-postman-fire-hydrant-red-mailbox and a red & white vespa.

Come walk with me.

This wholly black shophouse with a splash of white is chanel-ish chic.

Ironic.

I want that mail box.

Scarlet POP

Subject: Kenzo Poppy Flower

The series of shots was inspired to portray the scarlet poppy flower in an alternative surrounding apart from the usual garden locale.

Using my trusty 6.3MP fuji camera, all the shots were taken in my home and home alone. Couple of bursts of colour adjustments, the Scarlet POP is one of my fave series to date.

Black & White -  the halo-is effect is created using the humble empty toilet roll.

Curtain Call - neon splashes that's hard to ignore.

Specturm - subject taken at varying angles using my Swatch steel watch's bracelet.

Poppy by the window - nonchalance

Rainbow - effect created using the reflective back of a CD-Rom.

Flames of Passion - a lush effect created by manipulating the mirror's reflection. Taken only with 3 stalks of poppy flowers.

Prologue

Simplicity

Who says you need a costly hi-tech gadget to capture pretty, poigant and punchy pictures?

Time,
Imagination;
Creativity,
A dash of masking

are all you need.

Simply point and shoot. Yes, its that simple.

Allow your pictures to paint a unique pictorial prose each time.
